The Commercial Portfolio Manager is crucial in driving sales growth and overseeing a financial portfolio of business clients.
This role focuses on developing new business opportunities from an existing customer base, referrals, strategic networking with centers of influence, and will collaborate with the Commercial Banking Officer and other business partners to represent Tri City National Bank in the community and among our clientele.

Compensation: $90,000+ depending on experience. 

 

This position is in-office at one of our branch locations. 

Responsibilities

  • Expand and enhance relationships with existing customers while seeking new business leads through community networking and strategic partnerships.
  • Serve as the primary contact for customers, ensuring their needs are met and fostering a strong connection with Tri City National Bank.
  • Recognize and pursue growth opportunities within the portfolio based on customer needs.
  • Work with various business lines, including Commercial Banking, Mortgage Lending, and Treasury Management, to enhance services and profitability.
  • Accompany branch staff and business partners on visits to develop relationships and improve communication.
  • Review financial statements, cash flows, and credit requests to assess and manage risk effectively.
  • Assist in creating and presenting loan profiles to the Senior and Executive Loan Committees.
  • Ensure timely management of existing portfolios, including financial statements, renewals, and annual reviews.
  • Support branch staff by developing effective sales techniques and calling strategies.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to promote products and services to current and potential customers.
  • Perform special projects and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; 3-5 years in portfolio management, sales, financial analysis, or lending.
  • Strong analytical abilities with attention to detail.
  • Proven multi-tasking capabilities across various projects.
  • Ethical team player with demonstrated leadership qualities.
  • Ability to proactively generate new business.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Bank’s products, regulatory policies, and compliance issues.
  • Solid background in sales and sales management practices.
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Experience in branch operations and consumer lending, including first mortgage origination, is a plus.
