The Mortgage/Consumer Loan Processing Manager oversees a team of Loan Processors and manages daily activities to ensure timely and accurate completion of team responsibilities.

 

The primary purpose of this position is to ensure that new loan applications are processed and completed according to established policies and procedures. This position is also responsible for pipeline management, coaching and development, and ensuring that loans are processed to meet quality standards. Prioritize strategically by organizing resources, time, and people to achieve key goals and objectives; act with a sense of urgency, proactively address critical concerns, work quickly to get things done; lead change effectively; demonstrate knowledge skill and abilities while demonstrating operational excellence; deliver consistent results.

 

This role is located in-office at our Operations Center in West Allis, WI.

Responsibilities

Management Responsibilties:

  • Assign loans to processors.
  • Manage daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
  • Maintain an active pipeline.
  • Responsible for the supervision of the processing team including hiring, coaching, training, developing, and performance reviews.
  • Responsible for making sure written processing procedures are accurate and up to date.
  • Work closely with the compliance department to ensure regulations are being followed.
  • Complete responses to internal and external audits.
  • Hold department meetings as needed.
  • Provide shadowing opportunities for auditors, officer trainees and new retail lenders.
  • Stay abreast of regulatory changes within the mortgage industry.

Processing Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an individual processing pipeline
  • Complete initial disclosures and re-disclosures to satisfy compliance guidelines.
  • Order and review credit reports and automated underwriting findings.
  • Order vendor documents.
  • Title review.
  • Communicate with lenders what is needed to obtain loan approval.
  • Submit necessary documentation to underwriting.
  • Pipeline management to ensure 30-day credit decisions are being met.
  • Send incomplete and adverse action letters when necessary.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • The ability to create a team environment where sales and operations work together.
  • At least 3 years of supervisory or management experience.
  • Experience with customer service, decision making, and analyzing information.
  • Strong organizational, written and telephone communication skills.
  • Ability to present/train information to a group.
  • Strong supervisory/management/motivational skills.
  • Ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment.
  • Time management/multi-tasking.
  • Knowledge of TRID, Regulation B and other federal mortgage regulations.
  • Minimum of 5 years of mortgage processing experience.
