Reporting to the Executive Team - The Vice President | Director of Product & Sales is a key member of the Bank’s senior leadership team, responsible for developing marketing & sales strategies, and executing product strategy to support business growth and profitability. This role leads the development, launch, and ongoing improvement of products & marketing across Retail Banking, Mortgage Lending, Commercial Banking, Merchant & Treasury Management Services, and Investment Services.

 

This position works closely with Marketing, Data & Analytics, Finance (FP&A), and the Leadership, Development & Sales Enablement team to ensure product offerings align with customer needs, market demands, and the Bank’s overall growth objectives.


Compensation: $120,000+ annually depending on experience. 

This is role is in office at our Company Headquarter in Oak Creek, WI. 

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership 

  • Build and manage strong customer relationships to increase profitability and support the Bank’s growth, with a focus on core deposit growth.
  • Develop and execute a multi-line sales strategy aligned with the Bank’s vision and business objectives.
  • Provide strategic input as a member of the senior leadership team on corporate planning, growth initiatives, and market expansion.
  • Coordinate across departments to deliver holistic financial solutions tailored to client needs.
  • Foster a culture of long-term strategic thinking, collaboration, and performance excellence to drive sales and profitability.
  • Use customer and market data to develop actionable strategies and initiatives that drive sales.
  • Design and implement comprehensive sales management processes, including lead generation, pipeline management, joint calls and referrals, opportunity identification and qualification, and customer saturation.
  • Develop a unified sales structure between Lending and Deposit teams to optimize opportunities and standardize performance measurement and recognition.

Integration with Sales Departments 

  • Collaborate with all sales divisions by setting clear goals, KPIs, and accountability for each business line.
  • Implement relationship banking strategies to promote cross-selling and deepen customer engagement.
  • Integrate role with sales efforts for:
    • Retail Banking: branch network, deposits, consumer lending, and household relationship growth
    • Mortgage Lending: purchase and refinance originations, secondary market sales, and portfolio retention
    • Commercial Banking: CRE and SBA lending, deposits, and fee-based growth
    • Treasury Management & Merchant Services: business banking products, payments, and treasury solutions
    • Investment Services: investment offerings, retirement planning, and wealth management referrals 

Collaboration with Support Function

  • Marketing: Partner to design & build targeted campaigns, bundles, product launches, and branding efforts that drive qualified leads and product adoption.
  • Data & Analytics: Leverage reporting, predictive analytics, and CRM tools to identify opportunities, track pipeline performance, and report sales activity.
  • Finance: Collaborate on pricing strategies, profitability analysis, incentive plan design, and forecasting.
  • Learning, Development & Sales Enablement: Oversee the creation of sales training programs, coaching frameworks, and talent development initiatives to strengthen sales effectiveness. 

Product Strategy 

  • Align product strategy with overall business objectives by collaborating closely with Marketing, Data & Analytics, Finance, and Sales Training.
  • Drive the development, launch, and continuous improvement of products that address customer needs and support growth.
  • Implement clear processes for product planning, resource allocation, and cross-functional project execution.
  • Use market insights and customer feedback to guide product innovation and maintain a strong competitive position. 

Success Measures

  • Achievement of annual sales goals across all business lines including growth in core deposits, loan portfolio, and fee income.
  • Increased cross-sell ratio and product penetration per relationship including new household acquisition.
  • Improved profitability per relationship through coordinated sales efforts.
  • Enhanced sales culture as demonstrated by measurable gains in employee engagement and productivity.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in banking, with direct oversight of multiple sales lines of business.
  • Proven track record of achieving growth in deposits, loans, and fee-based revenue within a community or regional bank.
  • Strong understanding of financial products across retail, commercial, mortgage, treasury/merchant, and investment services.
  • Senior leadership presence with the ability to influence across departments.
  • Data-driven decision maker with expertise in leveraging analytics, CRM, and reporting to optimize performance.
