The Loan Accounting Specialist, under the Loan Services Manager, balances and reconciles loan-related general ledgers (G/Ls) and accounts, ensuring accurate transaction recording. This role includes daily account maintenance, managing loan servicing transactions, annual property tax disbursement, monitoring delinquent taxes, and reviewing unclaimed property.

 

Compensation: $22.00 - $32.00 per hour depending on experience.

 

This position is located on-site in West Allis, WI.  

Responsibilities

  • Balance and reconcile the existing loan accounts with the general ledger to ensure the accuracy of all posted entries while identifying and correcting any posting errors.
  • Respond to calls and email inquiries related to loan accounts from internal personnel, authorized third parties, and bank customers, including information research and error resolution requests.
  • Handle PMI monthly processing, reporting and remittance.
  • Assist with escrow functions, which include conducting annual escrow analyses and monitoring payments for hazard insurance.
  • Balance and reconcile subsidiary and custodial accounts, including FHLMC custodial accounts.
  • Ensure proper interface balancing and act as a backup for investor servicing, reporting, and remittance.
  • Review daily reports to identify necessary corrections and adjustments. 
  • Perform loan data entry of customer and loan information on the IBS loan system.
  • Prepare and transmit monthly SBA reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required

Qualifications

  • Experience in banking, loan servicing or customer service required. Education or experience in accounting is preferred.
  • Requires understanding of basic transactions and loan products.
  • Ability to gain working knowledge of Tri City National Bank’s policies and procedures, products and services.
  • Analytical ability is required involving basic accounting and data processing. Standard methods, guidelines and procedures are generally followed in resolution of such problems.
  • Strong organizational, time management skills with keen attention to detail.
  • A high degree of customer service orientation is needed for this position, including effective oral and written communication skills, sensitivity, judgement and initiative.
  • Ability to perform detailed, time sensitive work and make independent decisions with great accuracy.
