Overview

The Property Accountant & Office Administrator is responsible for overseeing daily administrative operations, accounting functions, and leasing support for both commercial and residential properties. 

 

This position is 30 hours a week with a pay range of $25.00 - $30.00 hourly depending on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Accounts payable and receivable activities
  • Recording journal entries and bank reconciliations
  • Maintain general ledger and support scheduling
  • Assist with financial statement preparation and CAM reconciliations.
  • Provide the Accounting Manager with support in accounting duties 
  • Prepare, review, and revise leases
  • Initiate tenant communications for lease renewals and rent increases
  • Maintain available property listings on various lease portals
  • Complete background checks on tenant applications
  • Assist with collections of outstanding rents
  • General office duties – filing, copying, answering phones.
  • Assist Vice President of Real Estate with leasing and tenant communications

Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or finance
  • Experience working in a property management environment
  • Excellent attention to detail, and communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, and general accounting software.
